HGI is shaping the way that services are delivered in the digital home. HGI was founded in 2004 by major Broadband Service Providers (BSPs), and has since been joined by leading manufacturers of digital home devices, chips, and software. Our projects are driven by the short to medium term service requirements of the BSP members. HGI welcomes participants from around the globe. A key current priority of the HGI is to specify the architecture, technical functionality, and test requirements for a flexible Smart Home service delivery platform.
Companies benefit from joining HGI by influencing (and better understanding of) requirements specifications, being able to participate in HGI’s test programme, and engaging with representatives from the entire digital home ecosystem at HGI meetings. HGI’s work is collaborative, dynamic, and focused on translating up-to-the-minute business requirements into technical specifications and test plans.
Come along to an HGI meeting as an observer to find out why so many companies regard HGI membership as a key requirement for participating in the digital home services market.
